本文对传统理论关于按劳分配作用范围的界定，提出了根本性质疑。认为在市场经济条件下。要坚持以按劳分配为主体多种分配原则并存的方针．就必须全面拓展按劳分配的作用范围：一要打破公有制的框框，确认按劳分配与私有制和混合所有制的可兼容性；二要打破“个人生活消费品”的框框，确认按劳分配对部分生产基金的分配作用。
