双波段电台是包括高频单边带和甚高频调频两个频段的一种多工作方式、多用途的电台。复盖频率为2～76(80)兆赫。实现这种双波段电台,目前,国外有两种方式:一种是以美国辛辛那提公司研制的 PRC—70和哈里斯公司生产的 RF—280(车载)为代表,它是把两个频段制成一个电台;另一种是以意大利爱尔特公司生产的 VRQ—106(车载)和比利时 MBLB 公司生产的 VRC-4-622(车载)电台为代表,它是把两个电台组成一个电台。如 VRQ—106电台就是采用 VRC—247(6.6公斤)高频单边带电台和 VRC—538(5.5公斤)甚高频调频电台组合在一起。这两种形式的双波段电台,各有其特点,在此,把它们的主要性能摘译整理如下,供参考。
