养兰的人都盼自己的兰花苗壮花繁,更盼兰株出芽率高,个个新芽粗壮肥大,生机昂然。但有时偏偏事与愿违。有位广东朋友告诉我,他的兰花每年会烂掉40%的新芽,十分痛心。笔者也曾遇到过这种情况,十分揪心。兰花的新芽为什么会烂掉呢?据笔者多年观察,有这样一些原因:一、兰花新长出的幼芽生根后又死了。这可能有两种情况:1、盆土过湿,根尖缺氧腐烂。2、盆土肥力过大或在新根十分幼嫩时突然施肥烧根,造成死亡。遇到新芽出土时要格外小心。新芽出土后、展叶前也应细心对待,给水供肥切不可冒然从事。二、盆土和栽培环境过分干燥,新芽因缺水而萎缩。这主要是母球(本假鳞茎)不能正常提供
