CAI is commonly referred to as computer-assisted instruction. It is a teaching form in which teachers use the computer as a teaching medium to provide students with a learning environment and students learn through interaction with computers. CAI first appeared in the United States in 1958 and was widely used in primary, secondary and primary schools in the United States in the 1970s and 1980s as computer technology improved. Now CAI has been throughout the United States and Europe at all levels of vocational education, technical training, school education and family education.
