The trends of transportation and distribution of ~(14)C-butachlor from alginate controlled-release formulation(CRF) were studied by contrast witch the conventional formulation in rice ecosystem. The results showed that when the CRF was applied, because butachlorwas released out from the CRF slowly and continuously, its concentrations in water would maintain a define level for longer, time and its concentrations in shoots or roots of rice plants also were lower in the ecosystem than that wnen the conventional formulation(CF)was applied. In soil, butachlor mainly appeared in upper(0—10cm), and the means of distribution of the resid-
The trends of transportation and distribution of ~ (14) C-butachlor from alginate controlled-release formulation (CRF) were studied by contrast witch the conventional formulation in rice ecosystem. The results showed that when the CRF was applied, because butachlorwas released out from the CRF slowly and continuously, its concentrations in water would maintain a clear level for longer, time and its concentrations in shoots or roots of rice plants also were lower in the ecosystem than that wnen the conventional formulation (CF) was applied. In soil, butachlor mainly appeared in upper (0-10 cm), and the means of distribution of the resid-
