森田勇造先生是日本青少年交友协会理事长,东京学艺大学客座教授,曾77次访问中国。2006年7月29日上午森田勇造先生到中国青少年研究中心,与中国少年儿童研究杂志社和培训中心的工作人员进行座谈。森田勇造先生是一个民俗学家,一个著名的野外活动家。随着日本现代化进程的加速,人民的生活水平普遍提高,但问题也随之而来。例如,由于生活与自然严重脱节,很多孩子不知道四季,不了解自然,知识几乎全部来自电视。为此,他开始了青少年野外文化活动的探索,组织各种青少年参加的野外文化活动。他认为活动并不是目的,而是通过活动达到对青少年进行社会教育的目的。森田先生于1968年开始组织长走活动。最早在东京开始的长走活动是从东京的繁华地带新宿到郊区的青梅,全长43公里。每个参加者在出发前都要将随身携带的钱或信用卡用组织者提供的信封装好,并封口。到终点时,参加者必须出具这个信封,证明自己沿途没花钱吃喝或坐车,然后才能领取“完步(按规定时间和要求胜利到达终点的意思)证明书”和组织者提供的面包、饮料。80年代中期,森田先生又开始了另一项连续10年的野外锻炼活动的探索:组织小学生体验无人岛生活。他每年暑假都要带近百名小学生到他的家乡一个叫御五神岛的无人岛上去待上5天,教孩子们搭帐篷、捕鱼捞虾、钻木取火、埋锅做饭等野外生活的知识和能力,让孩子们亲身体验大自然中的生活。迄今为止,他曾到过142个国家和地区考察、访问,出版了数十本专著,经常和世界各地的专家们举行野外文化活动的交流。本期刊登的文章,是他在一个研讨会上的发言摘编。另外,我们还同时刊登了徐博晨的文章。通过他的文章,我们可以对森田勇造先生倡导的野外文化活动有更直观的了解。
Mr. Morita is the chairman of Japan Youth Friendship Association, a visiting professor at Tokyo’s Suga University and has visited China 77 times. On July 29, 2006, Mr. Morita made his speech to China Youth Research Center and held discussions with staffs of China Children’s Research Magazine and Training Center. Mr. Morita is a folklorist, a famous outdoor activist. With the acceleration of Japan’s modernization process, people’s standard of living has generally risen, but problems have followed. For example, because of the grave disconnect between life and nature, many children do not know about seasons and do not understand nature. Almost all of their knowledge comes from television. To this end, he began to explore young people’s outdoor cultural activities, organized various youth to participate in outdoor cultural activities. He believes that the activity is not the end, but through activities to achieve the purpose of social education for young people. Morita began organizing long walks in 1968. The earliest long walk in Tokyo started from Tokyo’s bustling Shinjuku district to the suburbs of Ome, a total length of 43 km. Before departure, each participant packs and seals the carry-on money or credit card with the envelope provided by the organizer. At the end of the race, participants must present the envelope certifying that they have not eaten or drove along the way before they can receive the “Certificate of Completion (as specified by the time and the requirement to win the finish line)” and the bread, drinks . In the mid-1980s, Mr. Morita started another exploration of 10 consecutive years of field training activities: organizing primary school students to experience the life of uninhabited islands. Every summer, he takes nearly a hundred primary students to his hometown called Wufutao on an uninhabited island for five days, teaches children to take tents, fishing shrimp, drilling wood fire, pot cooking, etc. Field knowledge and ability to let children experience the life in nature. To date, he has visited 142 countries and regions, visited and published dozens of monographs and often held field cultural exchanges with experts from all over the world. The article published in this issue is an excerpt of his speech at a seminar. In addition, we also published the Xu Bo Chen article. Through his essay, we can have a more direct understanding of the outdoor cultural activities advocated by Mr. Morita.
