百合是多年生宿根植物,种类繁多,其无苦味者可以食用。食用百合在我国很多地方均有栽培;南京、莱阳等地所出产者均甚有名。在蘭州地区,栽培食用百合已有40余年的历史,其产品鳞茎肥大、白嫩,含碳水化合物量(?)富,煮熟後味甜美。一般以百合做蔬菜食用,近产地的农民常以之做主食充饥。本实验室在现有条件下,於1955年将市售百合进行了分析。碳水化合物的测定方法是依据北京大学植物生理专业大实验讲义
