名扬海内外的白云观座落在北京西便门外的幽巷深处,全真龙门派的祖师邱长春曾住持此观,故后世全真道徒尊奉白云观为祖庭,号称“天下第一丛林”,现为中国道教协会驻地。此观始建于唐开元年间,金元明三代均由皇室敕命重修扩建,始定现在的规模。白云观的道乐在金代已有记载,是为皇帝而举行的普天大醮七昼夜。元代诗文多曾述及当时的道教音乐。到1947年,观内还有200多个道人。1983年落实宗教政策时,仅存刘之维
