A large number of experiments show that: the gas medium on the metal cutting process a great influence. However, no research has been done on the quantity and quality of the gas components dissolved in the lubricating coolant and the role they play in the cutting process. In fact, as a hydrocarbon solution for lubricating a coolant, it usually contains 25% by volume of air.
