美国畅销书作家斯坦是当今美国最受欢迎的儿童文学作家,他所创作的小说多以恐怖、惊险、扣人心弦见长。继“鸡皮疙瘩”系列之后,斯坦的“幽灵街”系列也将登陆中国。“幽灵街”与我们主流的儿童小说不大相同。它不太注重细节的刻画,而是着力渲染气氛。在斯坦制造的超现实空间里, 充满了刺激的冒险、紧张的节奏、绝妙的悬念和令人毛骨悚然又有惊无脸的恐怖气氛,这些都较好地迎合了儿童的阅读心理。比起成人的恐怖小说,它没有过分渲染恐怖,而是非常周到地照顾了儿童的心理承受能力和应有的阅读审美。
The best-selling American writer Stein is the most popular children’s literature writer in the United States today. His novels are mostly horrifying, thrilling and exciting. Following the “Goosebumps” series, Stan’s “Ghost Street” series will also visit China. Ghost Street is not the same as our mainstream children’s novel. It does not pay attention to portrayal of details, but focus on rendering atmosphere. In Stan’s surreal space, full of thrilling adventures, intense rhythms, marvelous suspense and horrifying and scary horrors all catered well to children’s reading psychology. Compared with the horror fiction of the adult, it does not over-exaggerate the horror, but takes the children’s psychological endurance and the proper reading aesthetics very considerately.
