1989年下半年以来,浙江、湖北、山东、辽宁、河南、天津等省市开始组织高校青年教师参加农村社会主义思想教育(以下简称社教)工作。被派出参加农村社教工作的数千名青年教师在努力帮助农村“建好一个党支部,理出一个经济发展的好思路”的同时,自己也受到了教育,思想面貌发生了很大变化。1991年年底,河南农大驻方城县社教工作队的19位同志致信省委书记侯宗宾同志,汇报了他们参加社教工作以来的收获和体会。侯宗宾同志接信后非常重视,立即复信。信中一方面肯定了他们积极参加社教运动的行动,另一方面,又对青年知识分子提出了殷切的希望。组织青年教师参加农村社会主义思想教育等社会实践活动,是培养青年教师的一条重要途径。为了反映这一时期各地高校青年教师参加农村社教的做法和收获,我们编发了包括侯宗宾同志复信在内的一组文章,以引起有关部门对高校青年教师参加农村社教工作的重视,同时也希望各地、各高校进一步总结这项工作的经验。

At the end of 1991, 19 comrades from Henan NongTa Garrison stationed in Fangcheng County, Henan Province, wrote to Comrade Hou Zongbin, secretary of the provincial party committee, and reported their achievements and experiences since they joined the social work education. Comrade Hou Zongbin paid great attention to the letter immediately after the reply. On the one hand, the letter affirmed their active participation in the social education movement, on the other hand, they also put forward ardent hopes for young intellectuals. Organizing young teachers to participate in social practice such as socialist ideological education in rural areas is an important way to train young teachers. In order to reflect the practice and harvest of young college teachers in rural areas during this period, we compiled and compiled a series of articles including Comrade Hou Zongbin’s reply, in order to arouse the attention of relevant departments to the participation of young teachers in rural areas in the work of rural education. I hope all localities and universities will further sum up the experience of this work.
