本文作者综述了目前关于天然维生素A(V_A)及其合成同类物防止肿瘤发展方面的知识。作者对天然及合成的V_A衍生物总的名称命名为Retinoids(瑞丁类)(译者按——Retinoid一字源于Retinol,即V_A的化学名称,后者被译为松香油——见英汉化学化工词汇,也有译为视黄醇的,是根据Retina字源翻译的,但V_A的作用不限于形成视紫质,故认为莫若用音译,以免误解)。在这方面的研究工作发展很快,但所得的结果有不少的矛盾。虽然如此,这个课题的发展已经有了坚实的科学基础,瑞丁类可能是一个控制肿瘤的新的重要途径。
The authors summarize current knowledge about natural vitamin A (V_A) and its synthetic analogues to prevent tumor development. The authors named the generic names of natural and synthetic V_A derivatives as Retinoids.
