由国家自然科学基金委员会、国家科委、国家教委和中国科学院共同资助的《Science》杂志电子版中国服务器,于1988年1月12日在北京大学正式开通。国家自然科学基金委员会副主任孙枢院士主持开通仪式。国家自然科学基金委员会主任张存浩院士,副主任、北京大学校长陈佳洱院士,副主任周炳琨、王乃彦院士,副主任梁森,以及有关部门的领导出席了开通仪式。原美国加州大学伯克利分校校长、国家自然科学基金委员会特邀顾问田长霖教授,美国斯坦福大学图书馆馆长凯勒博士,《Science》杂志编辑罗宾斯坦博士(Dr.Rubinstein)等参加开通仪式并讲话。
The electronic edition of “Science” magazine sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the State Science and Technology Commission, the State Education Commission and the Chinese Academy of Sciences was officially launched on January 12, 1988 at Peking University. Academician Sun Shu, vice director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China presided over the opening ceremony. Academician Zhang Cunhao, vice director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, academician Chen Jia’er of Peking University, deputy director Zhou Bingkun, academician Wang Naiyan, deputy director Liang Sen, and leaders of relevant departments attended the opening ceremony. Professor Tian Changlin, former president of the University of California, Berkeley, invited consultant of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Dr. Keller, curator of the Stanford Library in the United States, and Dr. Rubinstein, editor of Science magazine attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches .
