中华猕猴桃(Actinidia chinensis Planch.)又称羊桃、藤梨等。是猕猴桃科猕猴桃属的一种落叶藤本果树。全属约有50余种,其中以中华猕猴桃的果实最大、品质最好、产量最高。原产我国,主要分布在长江流域南北各省区。常生于海拔300—2,000米的沟谷山坡、杂木灌丛或林缘空地。性喜温暖湿润的气候,幼龄植株耐阴性强。但开花结实后要有足够的阳光。土壤要求湿润中等,宜深厚排水良好的腐植土和砂质壤土。在瘠薄土壤上生长发育不好,最忌空气干燥和冬春的寒风。中华猕猴桃的果实富含维生素C,每百克鲜果中含有100—420毫克,比柑桔高5—10倍,还含有解朊酶和多种氨基酸,以及钙、磷、铁、钾等矿质元素。果实鲜食酸甜爽口,风味佳美,汁液丰富,又无农药
