通过点评白居易《夜雪》四个英译本四种不同译法所产生的英译效果,旨在说明,译诗虽难,但并非无道可循。对一首意蕴丰富的好诗,每个译者按着自己的心性去抓住诗中的重点或核心进行再创造,译本必然有侧重点,并且带着译者品性与见识。译诗应求神似而不唯忠实,一诗可多译。100%译出原诗的想法是行不通的,每个译者必须有侧重地翻译,才会得到比较成功的译本。
By commenting on the four English translations of the four English translations of Bai Juyi, the translation effects produced by the four different translations are intended to show that it is hard to translate poetry, but it is not impossible to follow. To a poetic poem rich in meaning, each translator grasps the key or core in the poem according to his own nature of heart and recreates it. The translator must have a focal point and carry the translator’s character and insight. Translation of poetry should be based on God rather than only faithful, a poem can be more translation. The idea of 100% translating the original poem does not work, and every translator must have a focused translation to get a more successful translation.
