The last year of the 1950s (1950-1959), 1959, passed; in the first year of the 1960s (1960-1969), 1960 began. Ten years is but the moment of human history. However, both in China and in the world, the past decade has undergone great and profound changes, and the new decade has shown infinite light and hope before us. The People’s Republic of China just celebrated its tenth anniversary.
