质量是教育的生命。近几年中等职业学校之所以生源告急,其中的原因不是中等职业教育不重要,也不是中等职业技术人才不受欢迎,而是教育质量不合乎要求。一是由于生源不足的影响,学校放宽学员入学的标准,可以说是来者不拒。从实际情况看,参加中等职业教育学习的这些学员大都是中考落榜生。有很大一部分学员在本意上并不愿意进职业学校、只是出于中考无望之举。这样,他们的文化知识基础一般来说是较低的。起点低,必然造成中等职业教育质量的先天不足。

In this way, their cultural knowledge base is generally low. The starting point is low, inevitably resulting in the quality of secondary vocational education deficiencies.
