2011年4月3日,由新加坡国家图书馆、新加坡宗乡会馆联合总会举办,新加坡福建会馆、福建基金赞助的《闽帮人物与闽商精神:新加坡福建族群的世纪回望》研讨会在新加坡国家图书馆隆重举行。来自澳大利亚、中国大陆、香港地区以及新加坡的四名著名学者应邀赴会,他们从不同层面、多角度探讨了近两百年来闽商对新加坡开埠以来的贡献与影口向。新加坡历史学者柯木林主讲《薛氏家族·叻报·闽帮文化》;澳大利亚弗林德斯大学杨进发博士主讲《天福宫与新加坡福建会馆的领导层》;香港大学李培德博士主讲《海外华商网络的延伸和冲突一一以陈嘉庚与胡文虎竞争为个案》;中国福建福州大学教授、闽商文化研
On April 3, 2011, the Symposium on the Spirit of Min Bo and Spirit of Fujian Merchants: A Century Review of Fujian’s Ethnic Groups in Singapore sponsored by the National Library of Singapore and the Association of Singapore’s Zung Township Hall organized by the Fujian Hall and the Fujian Foundation Singapore National Library was held. Four famous scholars from Australia, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore were invited to attend the forum. They discussed from different aspects and perspectives the contributions and portraits of the people of Fujian in opening up to Singapore in the past two centuries.
