在所有吴哥古寺中,柏威夏寺无疑是最特别的一个。它伫立在海拔525米的扁担山脉摩艾丹崖顶,且地处泰柬边界,历经高棉王国的辉煌时期,遗存了诸多精美建筑与石雕,见证了柬埔寨内战及多次因边境主权纷争而引发的武装冲突。它的存在意义非凡。2008年,联合国教科文组织将柏威夏寺列入《世界文化遗产名录》,对其评价为:柏威夏寺占据绝佳地势,融自然景观、建筑艺术和宗教功能为一体,古寺内精美的石雕体现了柬埔寨古代文明的艺术瑰宝。
In all Angkor temples, Preah Vihear Temple is undoubtedly the most special one.
