大学英语课堂教学不同于基础教育阶段英语课堂教学,在应试教育的影响,基础阶段的教育一直以考试取得好成绩为主要目标,课堂活动主要以教师的讲授为主,但是大学教育属于高等教育,学生的自主学习才是王道。因此,教师在大学教学期间一直扮演着引导者、指挥者的角色,而学生才是真正地教学主体。为了能够更好地发挥学生的自主性,单一的班级授课并不能很好地实现这一目标,反而会使学生更加地依赖教师。因此,分组教学成了改变传统教学模式,提高学生课堂参于积极性和学习自主性的有效形式。
College English classroom teaching is different from the basic education of English classroom teaching, the impact of exam-oriented education, the basic stage of education has always been to test the good results as the main goal of classroom activities mainly to teachers, but university education belongs to higher education, Students’ autonomous learning is king. Therefore, teachers in the university teaching has been playing the role of leader, director, and students are really teaching subjects. In order to be able to give full play to the autonomy of students, a single class teaching does not achieve this goal well and instead will make students more dependent on teachers. Therefore, teaching in groups has become an effective way to change the traditional teaching mode and improve students’ participation in the enthusiasm and learning autonomy.
