随着铁路现代化的发展,机车牵引吨数不断的提高,列车密度的增加,行车速度的加快,牵引动力改革等因素,造成轨道破损,同时也加剧了对辙叉的磨耗。据统计,因铸造缺陷、磨耗超限的伤损,辙叉各段每年维修补充少至几十台,多则几百台,年均焊修辙叉数占正线辙叉铺设总数的30%左右。鉴于目前各段财力的紧张状况,为延长辙叉的使用寿命,保证运输安全,提高经济效益和社会效益,辙叉的修复利用是一项非常重要的工作。因此,提高辙叉焊修的技术水平及推行合理的焊接工艺势在必行。
