It is now generally accepted that macrophages and dendritic cells can function as antigen presenting cells. The authors report that B cells can also act as antigen presenting cells. This conclusion is derived from an animal model study. Mouse IgM antibodies are injected into rabbit blood to produce anti-IgM antibodies. Mice born within 24 hours are treated with this antibody. The model obtained is widely used in B cell research. However, the immune responses of T cells were normal, including mixed lymphocyte response to mitogen PHA and ConA, delayed-type hypersensitivity, skin grafts and rejection of tumor grafts. But also interferes with certain T cell activities such as isotype-specific helper T cells, idiosyncratic helper T cells and suppressor T-cells
