Some past and recent studies have suggested that multiple sclerosis is associated with lead poisoning. However, the majority of past reports are based on autopsy data or non-human primates experimental data. In order to determine the value of these materials for human beings, the authors used a clinical test to perform an in vivo lead load analysis of a group of patients with demyelinating and multiple sclerosis. Testing programs included the determination of stored lead, available lead, and blood in the body Lead and urine lead levels. Subjects were observed in five patients with typical clinical indications of multiple sclerosis patients, no exposure to lead occupational history
