《啊,拓荒者!》是薇拉·凯瑟第一部充分体现其创作风格的长篇小说,她在小说中超越了性别的限制与对立,采用双性同体的女性写作策略,成功地塑造了集男性气质与女性气质于一身的女性理想形象——亚历山德拉。本文结合双性同体理论对亚历山德拉的双重性情特征予以全面的透视,指出女主人公形象的建构反映了凯瑟对建立理想与和谐女性人格的渴望和探索。
“Ah, the Pioneers!” Is the first novel by Vera Cather to fully demonstrate his style of writing. She transcends the limitations and antagonisms of the genders in the novels and adopts the bisexual and feminine writing strategy to successfully create Set the ideal image of women with masculinity and femininity - Alexandra. This thesis, based on the theory of bisexual alliances, gives a comprehensive perspective on Alexandra ’s double personality traits, pointing out that the construction of heroine’ s image reflects Cather ’s desire and exploration of establishing ideal and harmonious female personality.
