中國保卫世界和平大會委員會主席郭沫若九月二十五日致電世界和大主席居里博士,籲请號召全世界科學家譴責美帝無理拘捕钱学森博士等暴行,並要求立即予以釋放。電文如下: 巴黎世界和大主席居里博士: 我国航空力學專家錢學森博士於申请回國時被美警拘捕,物理學家趙忠堯教授和学生二名在返國途中,在日本横滨为駐日美軍拘捕。此等蹂躏人权、摧殘科学家的暴行,已激起中国科學界及中國人民的普遍愤怒。请你和貴会号召全世界科学家對美帝國主義暴行加以譴责,並要求立即釋放被捕之科學家。中國保衛世界和平大會委員會主席郭沫若一九五○年九月二十五日
Guo Moruo, chairman of the China Committee for the Defense of World Peace, called the world and his President, Dr. Curie, on September 25 to call on scientists from all over the world to condemn the unreasonable arrest by the U.S. imperialists about the atrocities such as Dr. Qian Xuesen and to demand their immediate release. The message reads as follows: Paris World and Dr. Curie, Ph.D.: Aeronautical mechanics expert Qian Xuesen was apprehended by U.S. and Japanese police while returning home. Physicist Zhao Zhongyao and two students were arrested on the way back to Yokohama by Japanese troops stationed in Japan. Such devastation of human rights and the atrocities that have inflicted on scientists have aroused widespread anger among the Chinese scientific community and the Chinese people. Ask you and your club to call on scientists from around the world to condemn the atrocities committed by the U.S. imperialists and demand the immediate release of the arrested scientists.
