Loess collapsible mechanism research in our country has decades of history, and many monographs. However, the mechanism of loess collapsibility has not been unified. However, in engineering construction in the loess area, this issue is still an urgent issue to be solved. In this paper, the microstructure and pore filling of loess were studied by SEM and EDS to investigate the mechanism of loess collapsibility.
