当前英语教学只注重语言知识和技能的训练,缺乏文化内涵的渗透,不利于学生跨文化交际能力的提高。教师在英语教学中充分利用习语可以提高学生的学习兴趣,培养学生的跨文化交际能力,同时还可以利用习语中包含的人生智慧和哲理,提高学生的人文素养。文章旨在通过对英语习语的介绍举例,说明英语习语对英语教学的促进作用及其应用。
At present, English teaching only focuses on the training of language knowledge and skills, and lacks the infiltration of cultural connotation, which is not conducive to the improvement of students’ intercultural communicative competence. When teachers make full use of idioms in English teaching, they can improve their interest in learning and develop students’ intercultural communication skills. At the same time, teachers can also use the wisdom and wisdom of life contained in idioms to improve their humanistic accomplishment. The article aims to illustrate the promotion of English idioms and their application to English teaching through examples of the introduction of English idioms.
