中芝8号属单杆三花型,蒴果4,6、8棱混生,株高中等,始蒴部位较低,空梢尖较短,结蒴密,茎杆和蒴果茸毛中等,叶片绿色,收获时蒴果不易炸裂。该品种生育期85天左右,含油量为55.3％,比广西本地黑芝麻和杂色芝麻高5.3％,蛋白质含量为21.38％。中芝8号是中国农科院油料所育成并审定通过的芝麻新品种。“八五”期间列入国家科委重点推广项目。广西农科院,农业厅粮油处引进中芝8号原种,1990年在广西北海
