With the 10-year follow-up study of UKPDS released at the 2008 EASD Annual Meeting, further proof of intensive glycemic control as early as possible will benefit the long term. This review summarizes the current research on the intensive care of newly diagnosed T2DM and the honeymoon period, which are currently widely concerned. 1 honeymoon concept is derived from the T1DM, T1DM natural process often spontaneous remission, the clinical practice of this period of remission
