黄州林业在维护生态安全、建设绿色屏障、实现兴林富民中具有独特的地位和作用,全区林地面积4.2万亩,森林覆盖为8.1%,属于典型的城效林业、生态林业。区林业局是区政府组成部门,内设两股一室,辖森林公安分局、李家洲林场,在职干部职工109名。近年来,我局立足区情林情,抓住大别山试验区建设的机遇,将生态建设放在重要位置,在全市率先提出建设“森林黄州”的战略目标,以重点林业项目建设为依托,大力开展植树造林,扎实推进城乡绿化一体化,各项改革不断深入,科技创新和推广成效显著,资源管理规范有序,取得了显著成效。
Huangzhou forestry has unique position and function in protecting ecological security, building a green barrier and realizing prosperity and enriching the people.
