1999年3月以来,百色市委、市政府在全长150公里、面积300多平方公里、覆盖60多万人口的右江河谷(包括右江、田阳、田东、平果4县区)开展了一场声势浩大、波澜壮阔的宏伟工程——右江百里文明河谷创建活动。经过几年的努力,创建活动取得了巨大的成果,形成了覆盖整个右江河谷的“三级宣传文化网络”和“半小时文化圈”,独具特色地创造了“党员中心户”、“三个代表”重要思想讲习所、农民下山进城入谷等精神文明建设的新做法,从而令右江河谷发生了翻天覆地的变化。
