On March 19, 2006, the State Patent Office formally approved a patent application by Shanghai Genome Research Center to produce goat’s milk containing high concentration of human lysozyme for treating various diseases via transgenic sheep. The news immediately shocked the world, because this result in the forefront of the world of genetically modified technology. High concentrations of human lysozyme for the treatment of various types of inflammation and cancer have a special effect, and little-known is that this cross-cutting significance of the results actually came from scientists on the study of tears!
