Energy Daily, 2014-10-09 According to IHS Technologies Inc., the global PV installed capacity will rise to 45.4GW by 2014, of which 32% (about 14.4GW) will be completed in the fourth quarter. Although IHS lowered its forecast for 2014 by 1.5GW due to weaker-than-expected performance in several key markets, it is still estimated that installed capacity will still be 20% up from 37.8GW in 2013. Driven by the strong demand from China and the United States, the new installed capacity will once again reach its maximum in the last quarter of 2014.
