武术是中华民族的优秀传统体育项目。自古的民俗活动如传统节庆、庙会活动等都有武术表演,武林中更是藏龙卧虎,不乏高手。他们为弘扬民族精神、传播华夏文明做出了卓越的贡献。1994年4月,第一届中华民族武艺精萃邀请赛在中国艺术研究院东方人体文化研究中心的策划下成功举行,参赛者众多。为使这样的赛会更好地连续下来,发掘更多的民间武术力量,今年该中心和《中华武术》杂志编辑部决定联合举办第二届赛会,并得到了北京市大兴体委的大力支持。
Wushu is an excellent traditional Chinese sports program. In order to make such a tournament to be more continuous and explore more force of folk martial arts, the center and the editorial department of “China Wushu” magazine decided to jointly organize the second tournament this year and won the vigorous support of Beijing Daxing Sports Committee.
