对于一副绘画作品而言,人们在鉴赏的过程中,如若和作者之间无法以作品为媒介形成顺畅的心灵交流和有效的情感沟通,无法通过作品体会其中的思想,那么这样的绘画作品就没有灵魂,和胡乱涂鸦没有什么不同。一副成功的画作,应该具有一定的说服力,这种说服力来源于作者和欣赏者之间心灵得到交流、情感得到沟通、思想得到传递。在作品酝酿时期,作者应该做生活的有心人,时刻关注生活中那些细小的片段,形成深刻的人生体验。生活是五彩斑斓的,因此这些片段和感受也是各种各样的。那么如何将捕捉到的生活素材加以展现和传递呢?这就需要选择有效的展现模式或传递形式了。本论文将从意境、材料、线条和色彩四个方面,逐渐深入分析以上要素对工笔画创作中形式美的作用。
