Guo Moruo vividly compared the punctuation as “a person’s facial features,” emphasizing “punctuation must be appropriate.” (“A New Look at Reporter’s Press Q & A”) (Friends of the Secretary, No. 2, 1996, published a short essay entitled “Efforts should not be made to omit punctuation before the ellipsis” (hereinafter referred to as Liu Wen) It is useful to guide people to pay attention to the correct use of punctuation from the point where the article is difficult to grasp the punctuality and flaw, so it is helpful to find out that some opinions are abnormal, There are two major types of ellipsis in the reader: one is to indicate the omission of the script, the other is to talk intermittently, the latter has no punctuation before the ellipsis, and the scope of our discussion is limited to the former. Can I omit the punctuation? I believe that the expression should be affected as the standard of choice, can not be generalized.
