The “Five Mistakes” Movement was a massive patriotic national movement by the Chinese people against imperialism and anti-warlord forces after the first cooperation between the KMT and the CPC. It laid the mass foundation for the outbreak of the Northern Expedition in the whole country and pushed the national revolution toward climax. The reason why the strike of the Shanghai workers as a sports center city is at the forefront of the whole country is inseparable from the contributions made by the leaders of the two workers’ movements, namely Liu Shaoqi and Li Lisan. They stood at the front line of the struggle and are the standard-bearers who lead more than 200,000 Shanghai workers in general strikes. Their fighting performance is outstanding.
