SP immunohistochemistry was used to study the expression of nm23 and p53 protein in 48 cases of gastric cancer, and their relationship with the biological behavior of gastric cancer and lymph node metastasis. The results showed that the nm23 low expression rate was 41.67%. The low expression of nm23 was negatively correlated with the invasive degree of gastric cancer and the proliferation of cancer cells (P<0.05). The lymph node metastasis rate of nm23 low expression was significantly higher than that of the normal expression of nm23 (P<0.05), and the positive rate of p53 staining was. At 56.26%, the positive expression of p53 was not related to the histological types and invasiveness of gastric cancer (P>0.05), but positively correlated with the proliferation of gastric cancer cells (P<0.05). The lymph node metastasis rate of p53 positive expression was significantly higher than that of p53 negative expression (P<0.05). It is suggested that the loss of nm23 allele and p53 gene mutation play an important role in lymph node metastasis and invasion and proliferation of gastric cancer.
