2009年12月21日,中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席胡锦涛在广东省珠海市考察工作时指出,要把加快经济发展方式转变作为深入贯彻落实科学发展观的重要目标和战略举措,坚定不移调结构,脚踏实地促转变,着力推动经济发展从要素驱动向创新驱动转变,真正打好转变经济发展方式这场硬仗。这是12月初中央经济工作会议召开之后,胡锦涛首次到地方考察。
