Speculated that it comes from the hypothalamus - pituitary beam branch. SENC found neither oxytocin neurons nor vasopressin neurons. The function of SENC is unclear. However, it may be involved in neuroendocrine regulation. During the process of regulation, oxytocin in cerebrospinal fluid affects blood pressure and vascular reflex.
