In the past two years, 330 female university faculty and staff have been examined for cervical smears. The results are reported below. 1 Subjects and methods 1.1 Inspected subjects From September 1994 to October 1996, a total of 330 female faculty and staff members attending a gynecological clinic in our hospital underwent cervical smear examination. 1.2 Methods The smears were fixed with 95% ethanol and then were classified by the Pap’s five-level classification method using Pap-smear staining.
