The Finder II Joint Program Office (JPO) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the first phase of its Spacelans Radar (SBR) demonstration program, which is funded by the U.S. Air Force, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) to develop and demonstrate a SBR with high range resolution, GMTI, SAR imaging capabilities and the ability to Digitizing the height data (DTED) on the topographic maps to provide reconnaissance, surveillance and precise geolocation information, a system that, if successfully developed, will make warfighters an unprecedented capability in scope and timing of operations.
