干宝,字令升,河南新蔡人。东晋时期著名的历史学家,著述宏富,影响颇大,其编年体西晋史《晋纪》一书,在当时即信誉卓著,“咸称良史”~①,备受学者推崇。关于干宝在历史编纂学和史学思想上的成就,笔者已有专文详论②。本文仅就干宝的生平履历及其著述略作胪述,并特就《晋纪》简作阐释。一干宝生于何年,史无明文,学者多以无从考证处之。其实,若就有关史料钩稽耙梳,亦不难觅其大概时间。据《晋书·华谭传》:“建兴初元帝令(谭)为镇东谘议祭酒,……谭荐干宝、
