1987年我县开展了恢复和建立村保健室,充分发挥其在边远山区基层妇幼保健工作中的作用。经过几年的摸索总结,取得了比较满意的效果。我县村保健室主要选择边远、交通不便、人群比较集中的地方建立。县卫生局和妇幼保健站首先作出村保健室在全县分布的总体规划,制订村保健室的工作常规;区、乡卫生院及县妇幼保健站负责人员的培训;区、乡妇幼卫生专干负责组建并报经县卫生局验收,合格后由县妇幼保健站挂牌管理。地、县卫生局给予一次性经济补助,即每个村保健室100～200元。
