1948-1976 is a time when electrodynamic seismographs have changed dramatically. During this period, electro-dynamic seismometers and their associated amplifiers, recorders, time service systems and power systems are used for global observations under a wide range of operating conditions. The progress of the seismometer has required a better understanding of the basic constraints of instrument design and ultimately the development of small but sensitive instruments installed in closed deep wells to avoid unnecessary local surface disturbances. The recording system developed during this period makes the retrieval and storage of seismic data more convenient at any time.
