吕梁是山西乃至全国的贫困区,“吕梁富则山西富,吕梁兴则山西兴”。吕梁有红枣100余万亩,全国红枣产量以县为单位排序,临县居第一,柳林居第五,柳林三交镇有“红枣之乡”美称。吕梁红枣总产量占全国的15％以上,占山西的80％以上。红枣在吕梁的经济发展和脱贫致富工程中起着举足轻重的作用。 然而,红枣产量低、品质差是制约吕梁红枣快步发展的重要问题,而解决这个问题的有效途径就是加强红枣优质丰产技术的推广。吕梁地区森林病虫害防治检疫站刘光生同志总结归纳了一套红枣丰产优质技术,本刊将分次刊出,供生产者参考。
