1983年8月7日至23日,由美国国际人民交流协会组织的美国石油工程团一行七十一人,在德克萨斯大学石油工程学教授、团长本·卡德尔(Ben Caudle)博士的率领下来我国访问。代表团的成员有采油工程师、地质学家、钻井工程师和岩石物理学家等。该团访华的目的是学术交流并和中国同行讨论钻井和完井、石油开采和油藏工程等问题,同时还到任丘油田、大庆油田、中国海洋石油总公司南海分公司等单位进行了参观访问和座谈。该团是应中国科协邀请来华访问的,中国石油学会负责了该团的学术交流工作,并派专人随同该团到大庆进行学术交流活动。在京期间,石油部钻井司、全国各油田的钻井处长、石油勘探开发科学研究院、石油部情报所等单位共110人分成钻井、油田开发、采油
From August 7 to August 23, 1983, the United States National Petroleum Corporation, organized by the American Association of International People’s Exchanges, seventy-one people, at the University of Texas, Professor of Petroleum Engineering, Dr. Ben Caudle Led by my country. The delegation members include oil production engineers, geologists, drilling engineers and petrophysicists.
