The National Steelmaking Meeting convened by the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry was held in Shanghai on April 9-19, 1957. Experts at the meeting presented more than 60 reports on steelmaking technology, including Anshan Iron and Steel Company’s “rapid sintering bottom” and “chromate-resistant chromate brick top of the report,” the Institute of Iron and Steel Institute of “Research on the Causes of Damaged High Alumina Bricks at the Top of Flat Hearth and Suggestions for Improvement” and “Experimental Report on Pure-oxygen Top-blown Converter Steelmaking,” “Oxygen-enriched Blast of Side-blown Alkaline Converter at Tangshan Iron and Steel Mill Steel Test Summary ”
