中国南方林业遥感培训班于2月29日在湖南省长沙市林业部中南林业调查规划设计院开学,联合国粮农组织驻华代表席尔瓦、高级项目官员张锡贵在林业部外事司司长秦风翥同志的陪同下,专程从北京到长沙出席了开学典礼。这次培训班是根据1987年8月20日联合国粮农组织和我国签署的“遥感技术在中国南方森林资源清查与监测中的应用培训班”项目协议,由粮农组织林业遥感官员莱克特博士和该组织聘请的美国加州大学托马斯博士来华举办并授课的。联合国粮农组织高级官
China Southern Forestry Training Course on Remote Sensing started on February 29 in the Central South Forest Inventory and Planning Institute of the Ministry of Forestry in Changsha City, Hunan Province.
