In order to study the differences of inorganic elements in different flue-cured tobacco at home and abroad, comprehensive data collection and statistical analysis of 14 major inorganic elements in flue-cured tobacco at home and abroad were conducted by the tobacco industry standard method. The results showed that there were differences in the distribution of inorganic elements in flue-cured tobacco samples between different regions of China and in different parts of China, as indicated by Yunnan Province. Samples of the five regions in Yunnan Province could be clearly distinguished by using samples from central flue-cured tobacco. In the main foreign flue-cured tobacco production areas, the United States, Zimbabwe and Brazil can clearly distinguish the three countries in the distribution of inorganic elements. Through the comprehensive analysis of domestic and foreign samples, it was found that the level of calcium and nitrate in domestic flue-cured tobacco represented by Yunnan Province was significantly higher than that of foreign flue-cured tobacco while that of potassium, nitrogen, zinc and magnesium was significantly lower than that of foreign flue-cured tobacco.
